'Overflow' refers to me having a wide variety of things I do, from writing, to daily living of a wonderful life, and art work.
I garden at 8000 feet, cook from scratch, needle felt, read books continually, study history and epistemology, write daily, contemplate spiritual theology, and pursue heirloom arts. I love to paint pictures of living beyond maintenance -- living creatively, discovering beauty in everyday ordinary things. I've been happily married to Monte, who is a geologist, for a long time and still very much in love, even after raising a family and building two houses. Our children are our best friends. Heather is newly married to Bill. Travis, a minister of the fine arts, is married to Sarah. And Dawson is in college. I naturally live first-hand and have recently realized that this is how we educated our children and ourselves. I love to learn about everything, teach, and work with my hands. I love my home, but my life has overflowed -- as a teacher, radio/conference/retreat speaker, author, and most recently as a MOPS mentor. Kareyswan.com is an ideal way for me to share my overflowing life with kindred spirits and those hungering to move beyond maintenance -- to be known by who they are, not just by what they do.

Wow.
oh lawd, that DOES sound like an overwhelming amount of work to have going on simultaneously! I believe I might pack up the weaving and looming and focus on getting the painting done first.
When do you get to plant outside?
I recall reading in H&H that when Monty leaves you delve into projects and leave off cooking. I laughed out loud when I read this!!!
Well, my dear we DON'T share this in common. I am such a neat-nick that I refuse so many loose ends. I can entertain a three-ring-circus of projects but have never needed scaffolding . . . yet, that is. My husband, on the other hand: The King of Unfinished Projects. Wait . . . is that scaffolding I see him carrying just now? Nah, but he could use some to finish painting our teahouse, "Briar Rose Cottage."
Have fun! I'm praying you get some sun and thaw for those seedlings.
p.s. Shakespeare is oft quoted here. He's so handy to have around! I need to check out this book -- sounds fun for those with a bit of a handicap in the literary department. ; D
